Discover nature’s beauty

Nature’s beauty rejuvenates, inspires and soothes us – it also allows us to appreciate its complexity more fully. Even taking time out just to seek beauty can bring rich rewards in terms of personal enrichment.

Consider learning about mushrooms, bird calls or soil health – the more you learn, the more subtle and details will become apparent when out hiking or wandering your backyard.

At times, you might wish to explore nature by searching out waterfalls tucked away in remote corners. While it might require getting up early and trekking miles through unfamiliar territory, gazing upon waterfalls that few other will ever see makes the journey well worthwhile. Or you could try your hand at photography or painting as another form of exploration; nature offers numerous experiences which parallel more dramatic acts of appreciation such as poetry.

Unleash your family’s wanderlust

Road trips offer an irresistibly exciting adventure! And they don’t just involve visiting landmarks or ticking items off bucket lists: it’s about connecting with others and exploring our world while discovering hidden secrets and enriching lives through diversity.

This interactive book and app takes you on an immersive literary experience inspired by real travel experiences, featuring minimalist aesthetics and custom photography. There are four full-length tales that last up to an hour each or shorter “anecdotes” lasting 10-15 minutes each that await you here.

Each story was created by a different team of writers – authors, experienced reporters, and artists – drawing upon actual travels as inspiration and featuring various types of people (idealistic students, jaded reporters) experiencing life through various lenses. You can choose how each character responds to their surroundings; therefore influencing the outcomes of experiences by making choices yourself.

Unleash your national park’s wonder

National parks are breathtaking sights to behold, from Yellowstone’s geysers and rivers to Glacier’s panoramic valley views and Crater Lake’s vibrant hue. Road Scholar offers tours that give travelers the chance to experience these incredible sites deeper with like-minded fellow travelers in small groups.

Natural wonders offer special terrain bonuses in many ways, and passable wonder tiles in particular provide significant adjacency bonuses (for City Centers and Districts) while simultaneously increasing Appeal values of nearby tiles, making them suitable locations for creating National Parks.

Impassable wonder tiles present a challenge when building National Parks as they do not permit units to pass over them. While their aesthetic qualities still increase the Appeal of adjacent tiles, players will need to carefully plan their city expansion in order to include these wonders into a Park. A better use for such wonders may be creating Preserves nearby which give an increase in Food, Science, Faith and Production of two for every tile adjacent it.
